Kindergarten Adventure Club is a half-day program at all 19 of the district's elementary schools. Activities reinforce and enrich the kindergarten class experience. The program is activity-based and designed to give students the opportunity to learn through exploration, communication and enrichment activities. The activities are designed to create a foundation of social, emotional and physical skills.
Kindergarten Adventure Club is available Monday-Friday. During the school day, students enrolled in half-day kindergarten are able to join Adventure Club for lunch and the half of the day that they are not in class. Because families’ needs vary, a new option this year for the Kindergarten session of Adventure Club is a flexible schedule. You may choose one of two schedule options for your Kindergarten Adventure Club student:
SET schedule = same number of days each week and same calendar days of the week OR
FLEX schedule = same number of days each week with the ability to change calendar days of the week
Kindergarten Adventure Club students, attending the Kindergarten session or afterschool session on an Early Dismissal day, may attend the Early Dismissal session at no additional charge.
Adventure Club fees qualify for the childcare tax credit and Flex Spending Plans.
