Welcome to Eureka High School. This is an informational guide to help you better understand school policies, rules and regulations, behavior guidelines, and other information pertaining specifically to EHS.
This handbook, as well as your copy of “Policies, Regulations, Procedures and Consequences Pertaining to High School Students,” is expected to be read by both students and parents. Please keep both handbooks so they may be of use throughout the school year.
We encourage all students to follow one of the most important elements of having a successful high school experience: participation. When students are involved in school, they are more engaged and have a higher level of performance in academics and overall satisfaction. At Eureka we pride ourselves on providing multiple opportunities to be involved in a multitude of classes and extra-curricular activities. I strongly encourage students to take advantage of the clubs/activities/organizations/sports offered.
Eureka High School is rich in traditions. These traditions have been successful based on the commitment of our students, faculty, parents and community. It is the “Eureka Way” to live up to the expectations that have been established through generations. Respect, challenge, support, and take pride in ourselves and those around us. A commitment to excellence are not just words at EHS, it is how we live.
Should any questions arise, please do not hesitate to discuss them with a member of the Eureka staff. Through communication and teamwork we will continue to demonstrate the meaning of the “Eureka Way”!
