Current Scholarship Opportunities (As of 5/3/12)
We receive notification regularly of scholarship opportunities. Many more scholarships will be posted beginning in September. For each of the scholarships listed below we have the application materials in our offices. To pick up an application for any of these scholarships, stop by the College & Career Center, Room 121. You might want to check this site weekly for additions.
Many scholarships require an official transcript, a counselor's signature, letters of recommendation, etc. All of this information requires the assistance of the College Specialist. In these cases, we will more often than not, state an earlier deadline in order to process these by the official deadline. We will always try to accommodate you if you are running late as long as we can get these out in the mail in time. However, there are some scholarships that require a building committee to make a decision. This committee selects one nominee from Lafayette High School. In these cases, we need time to meet as a committee and make a decision. With these scholarships, we WILL NOT extend a deadline. You will know these, because in the deadline information we will include not only a date but a time as well. Any questions, please contact the College Admissions Specialist.
