Rockwood Drug-Free Coalition: Co-Sponsor of Ballwin Days

The Drug-Free Coalition is co-sponsoring Ballwin Days on June 1. Be a part of the first annual flash mob. The concert, flash mob, and shoe dance-off will occur on Saturday, June 1 from 5-6 P.M.

During Ballwin Days, the Drug-Free Coalition will be collecting old pairs of shoes for the St. Louis Shoeman Water Project. The event will take place at the Pavilion stage in Vlasis Park. All students and families are invited to participate and attend.

End of Year Procedures for Meal Accounts

As the end of the school year approaches, Child Nutrition Services is implementing procedures for negative meal account balances. Students and staff will not be allowed to charge a meal after Tuesday, April 30, 2013.

Beginning Wednesday, May 1, if a student does not have adequate funds or has a negative meal account balance, an alternative entrée of a cheese or tuna sandwich will be offered to the student.

All balances left in meal accounts at the end of the school year will automatically be carried forward for students continuing in any Rockwood School. If a student moves out of the school district, a refund can be requested.

The parent/guardian may request a refund by phone call or a written note to the cafeteria manager. If the parent/guardian chooses to have a student pick up a cash refund for an amount less than $10.00, a signed note must be sent to the cafeteria manager giving the student permission to receive the refund. Refunds over $10.00 will be issued by check from the Rockwood School District.

Summer Savings Week with Community Ed

Summer is almost here! To celebrate, Rockwood Community Education is offering a week of savings on summer programs May 6-10, 2013. Each day, two different camps, clinics or classes will be offered at a reduced price for one day only. The deals will begin at 9 a.m. and will be available until 10 p.m. each day. Be sure to visit the Community Education website each day to take advantage of these special savings.

Foundation Family Day at Busch Stadium

Rockwood Schools Foundation is hosting Family Day at Busch Stadium on
Sunday, April 14. Game time is 1:15p.m. vs. the Brewers.

Tickets are $20 (seats are left field reserved seating)
These tickets include a hotdog and soda.

The proceeds benefit the Rockwood Schools Foundation, which in turn funds the Dream Catchers' scholarship for Rockwood students and grants for teachers. Tickets must be ordered by April 8.
