The high school dropout rate is an important factor because it adversely impacts students and their future. It is predicted that students who dropout of high school are likely to earn 67 cents for every dollar earned by a high school graduate.
For grades 9-12, the dropout rate is calculated by dividing the number of dropouts by the total of September enrollment, plus transfers in, minus transfers out, minus dropouts, added to September enrollment, then divided by two.

Rockwood’s drop out rate for 2011 was 1 percent, indicating that our students are highly engaged in their school.
