The SAT Reasoning TestTM (formerly known as the Scholastic Aptitude Test, then the SAT I: Reasoning Test) is aligned with current curriculum and institutional practices in high schools and colleges. The SAT has three subtests: Critical Reading, Mathematics and Written Expression. This four-hour exam measures mastery of reasoning skills in performing math, reading and writing tasks considered critical for success in post-secondary work and beyond.
Rockwood results indicate the following:
- Rockwood seniors in the class of 2011 had an average score of 618 in reading and 622 in math. This surpasses the Missouri average of 592 in reading and 593 in math.
- Rockwood scores have remained consistent during the last five years and are higher than average for Missouri and the United States.
- The five-year score trend for Rockwood students is representative of the five-year trend for the state and the nation.
