Each year, the Rockwood School District provides an annual report to inform our community about the progress of the district. In the district report card, you’ll find information about our students, staff members and finances. This has been a successful year in Rockwood, and we are proud to share our students’ progress, as well as the positive impact we have had on families and our community.
In Rockwood, our focus is on the classroom and raising the results for all students. We believe the most important part of any student’s education is a teacher who sets high expectations for learning within a warm, welcoming school environment. Rockwood understands the direct correlation between the achievement of our students and the experience and qualifications of our teachers. We are fortunate to be able to staff our schools with accomplished educators, administrators and staff members who guide students to become active participants in their education.
As a school district, we recognize the importance of being accountable to patrons for the financial health of the district. Rockwood provides professional and prudent financial management of funds and resources. Despite the challenging economic conditions, Rockwood has kept its focus on spending where it needs to be – right in the classroom. We are prepared to make the tough decisions as we serve our students and honor our stakeholders through conservative financial management.
Preparing students for success begins early, and it requires a partnership among educators, parents and community members. On behalf of the Rockwood school community, I am proud to accept this challenge, and I invite our parents and patrons to continue to join us in this partnership. Our students deserve a high quality education, and we are committed to our mission of doing whatever it takes to ensure all students realize their potential.

Sincerely,
Dr. Bruce Borchers
Rockwood Superintendent
