Adventure Club is Rockwood’s school-age care program. It strives to engage children in developmentally appropriate and enriching activities in an environment that supports independent choice guided by caring adults. Adventure Club’s five programs offer the flexibility to meet all parents’ needs.
Before and After School Care
The Before and After School Care program is available in all Rockwood elementary schools. It is designed to provide children in grades K–5 with a safe, well-supervised and fun environment. The daily schedule includes a variety of indoor and outdoor activities, snack and homework help.
Early Dismissal Care
Adventure Club provides care for families on days when the District schedules early dismissal from school. The program is offered from dismissal time until 6 p.m. for a nominal fee.
Holiday Adventure Club
Holiday Adventure Club provides a full day of care (6:30 a.m.–6 p.m.) on many of the District holidays. The children will participate in a fun-filled day of special activities in a well-supervised environment. Children are provided a morning and afternoon snack and bring a sack lunch.
Kindergarten Adventure Club
Our kindergarten half-day programs are located in every Rockwood elementary school and offer a quality learning experience. Kindergarten programs are activity-based and designed to give students the opportunity to learn through exploration, communication, and enrichment activities. The activities are designed to develop each child socially, emotionally, physically and create a foundation of skills. The programs meets during the 1/2 day the child is not in class.
Summer Adventure Club
Adventure Club offers children a summer experience filled with activities. Choices include swimming, art, music, bowling, sports, and many fun field trips. Middle school students have an opportunity to participate in an older kids camp called the "Zone". The youth design the schedule, activity offerings and choose their own field trips. Camps are available at selected schools from 6:30 a.m.–6 p.m.
