Rockwood middle and high schools use the AlertNow system to inform parents if their child has an unexcused absence from school. Here is what parents need to know:
-
If parents have NOT notified the school of their child's absence by 10:30 a.m. they will receive an AlertNow voice message from their school principal.
-
This message will be sent to the parents' home phone and cell phone letting them know that their child has an unexcused absence for the school day.
-
In this message, principals will ask parents to call the school attendance secretary in order to clarify the reason for their child's absence.
Regular attendance is important for our students' success in school. Rockwood is committed to improving communication with parents regarding attendance.
