The Rockwood Community Education department is looking for students 16 years and older who are interested in enrolling in free adult education classes in reading and basic math, English as a Second Language (ESL) and General Education Development (GED® ) assistance. These classes, which run January 3 through May 18, assist adults with preparation for GED® testing, transition assistance for college, job testing practice, basic skills review, individualized tutoring and letter writing.
Free GED® Prep & More/Adult Basic Education classes are available:
- Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. – noon at the Administrative Annex Modular Classroom (500 North Central, Eureka 63025)
- Monday and Thursday from 9 a.m. – noon at the Daniel Boone Library, lower level (300 Clarkson Rd., Ellisville 63011)
- Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. – noon at Calvary Fellowship Church, Buchanan Building, Lower level (1811 Smizer Station Rd., Fenton 63026)
- Tuesday and Thursday from 6 – 8:30 p.m. at Rockwood Summit High School, room 163 (1780 Hawkins Rd., Fenton 63026)
- Tuesday and Thursday from 6 – 8:30 p.m. at the Administrative Annex Modular Classroom (500 North Central, Eureka 63025)
- Tuesday and Thursday from 6 – 8:30 p.m. at Crestview Middle School, room 110 (16025 Clayton Rd., Ellisville 63011)
In addition, adults can enroll in free English as a Second Language (ESL) classes. These classes assist adults with English conversation practice, grammar, preparation for citizenship test and more.
