  Flexible Access Schedule -"Every day is a library day."
Students in grades 1-5 come to the library with teacher permission as needed to check  out books for free reading and assignments. Students come on the average of once a week, but students finishing their books earlier may come more often. Each classroom has library passes with the teacher deciding on times that work out best for his/her class.  Students in Kindergarten may check out 1-2 books each week.  Grades 1-4 may check out 2 books at a time.  Grade 5 students may check out 3 books.

With flexible access scheduling the classroom teacher and the library personnel are able to team together on projects to support the classroom curriculum. Students come to the library individually, in small groups, or with the entire class to learn how they can find information for their projects. While this is going on in the library, other students can continue to check out materials and work on individual projects. The library is a very busy place. All of the programs and activities encourage the students to become avid readers and independent researchers.
