Peer Proof is a self-reliance program for the fourth grade. It teaches students to become assertive without being aggressive. It also helps students take a proactive approach to friendship and teaches them how to act in social situations. Parent volunteers, trained by the counselor, teach the lessons over a six week period. After the curriculum has been presented, students are "peer proofed" in a celebration ceremony.
