As a PSO, our goal is to support the children of Ballwin Elementary by providing opportunities, “wants” and “needs” which stretch beyond the budget of the school district.  PSO offers a variety of fundraisers throughout the year to provide our families options.  We are grateful for your support of any fundraiser, as the money raised truly goes back to our children in numerous ways. Another option is to provide a donation in which 100% goes to the PSO and your children.  Many companies provide matching funds.

 Our main fundraisers are:   Sally Foster – Entertainment Books – Cookie Dough and the Silent Auction. We raise roughly $25,000 from these fundraisers.  We pay for things not in our school budget, to help enhance our children’s learning as well as non-district funded school enhancements. We also do community building activities which are meant to foster the home/school connection and parent/child interactions in the school. Without your support these things would not be possible for our children! Here are some of the PSO sponsored events that you help to support.

 We support students and their families by hosting these events and providing the following to the students at no cost to the families:

Veteran's Day - Kindergarten Celebration - 5th grade Fun Day & Recognition -  Variety Show - Back to School Treat/Gift - Fun Run Popsicles  - Fundraising Incentives - Special Celebration Treats - Bear Socials - Volunteer Appreciation - Recess/Health Equipment

 Some events and activities have a minimal charge to pay only for the expenses of that event/activity and not to earn a profit.  These fun-filled events are supported by volunteers (parents, staff, teachers, grandparents, older siblings, etc):

Ballwin Bash – Breakfast with Santa - Trivia Night– Spirit Wear Sales – Spring Carnival 

 These programs enrich the education opportunities for our students:

Accelerated Reader - Assemblies - Junior Achievement - K - 5th Grade Field Trips - Special Field Trips - Transportation to Fieldtrips -  Matching & Ways and Means Grants

 We also support our teachers and staff by providing the following:

• Staff Appreciation Gifts (every staff member) as well as an Appreciation Lunch
• Back to School Lunch - Conference Dinners – Classroom Party Money
• Gifts (Weddings, Funerals, Retirement) - Teacher Start Up Money
