"How do I get involved?"-
The absolute fastest, surefire, way to get involved here at Ballwin Elementary is to attend a PSO meeting. You are already a member, there are no membership fees, and we'd be thrilled to bits to see your shining face. It is the perfect spot for learning what is happening at the school, getting your questions answered, discovering volunteer opportunities, and connecting with parents, like yourself, who are passionate about their kids, their school, and their community.
Read the weekly Monday Minutes. They are chock full of information about current fundraisers, events, and volunteer needs. There are also fliers that come home throughout the year asking for your help, whether it's volunteer time, or food items, etc.
Fill out the volunteer form at the back of your Volunteer Handbook, and turn it in. We have 29 individual committees that need members throughout the year. Some are active the entire year, some help plan a single event. Some need only one or two members, some need larger crews of 8 or more. When the fliers come home, asking you to volunteer an hour at one of our yearly events, sign up. We have events that need upwards of 60 people on the day of the event, in one-hour shifts.
Bottom line is, YOU ARE NEEDED. If you have an hour to volunteer - every week, or once a year - we need you. And we'd love to learn your name. :)
