Frequently Asked Questions about mySchoolBucks
Why are you changing to mySchoolBucks?
Nutrikids was purchased by Heartland Bank late this summer, which is the owner of myschoolbucks.com. All districts using Nutrikids were required to switch to myschoolbucks. This change allows greater capabilities for users including:
- Scheduled recurring payments
- Automatic deposits when your child's account balance runs low
- Extended purchase history for the past 90 days
- Low balance email notifications
- E-wallet to save credit card information for future use
- Mobile-friendly website
While MyNutrikids payments were processed through our third party vendor PayPal, mySchoolBucks is a single vendor that owns and operates the entire solution.
Where do I get my student’s Student ID?
A student’s Student ID information can be obtained by contacting your school and asking for the ID. Your child’s ID number may also be displayed on their school ID card.
Is my login username and password still the same for mySchoolBucks?
Yes, once the transition is complete, your existing MyNutrikids.com username and password will remain the same when logging into the mySchoolbucks website.
If I have an existing MyNutrikids account, are my children still associated with my mySchoolBucks account?
Yes. If you currently have an existing MyNutrikids.com account, your children will still be associated with your account after the transition to mySchoolBucks.
I forgot my password. How can I get my password?
Click the “Forgot Password?” link in the mySchoolBucks.com login page. Enter the e-mail address you used when you created your mySchoolBucks.com account and click “Retrieve Password.” Your password will be e-mailed to you.
Do I still have to use PayPal?
There is no need to use PayPal or any other third party service with mySchoolBucks. If you have already created an account through PayPal, it can still be used with other participating websites or canceled by going to the PayPal site.
What payment methods does mySchoolBucks accept?
With mySchoolBucks you can make a payment using your Visa, MasterCard, and Discover credit card or debit card. You may also make payment using an e-check payment directly from your bank account.
Is mySchoolBucks secure?
Yes. The mySchoolBucks website is owned and operated by Heartland Payment Systems, which is one of the largest and most trusted payment processors in the country. The system is fully compliant with all security regulations and card industry requirements. MySchoolBucks has achieved and maintains the highest security certifications in the industry, and all transactions are secured by 128-bit encryption and other security measures.
What does it cost to use this service?
This service is free to all Rockwood parents.
Can the payment be used for other school fees?
mySchoolBucks.com online prepayments are for school meal programs only.
How long will it take for my deposit to show up in my child’s account?
Deposits made with credit/debit cards typically are available for use by the next business day.
Can I make payments to multiple children’s accounts with one payment?
Yes. You will need to enter a specific payment amount for each child.
My child makes purchases at school everyday. I added my child to my account but when I click on history to view account history, it is blank. Why are there no transactions?
Please allow up to 24 hours for transaction history to be transferred online.
How do I find out what my child has been buying for lunch?
To view purchases for as many as the previous 90 days, login to MyNutrikids.com and click the History link next to your student's name on the MyStudents page.
Can I receive an email when my child's account balance is low?
Yes. You can establish an account balance notification threshold for each child. Once the account balance falls below the established amount, mySchoolBucks.com will automatically send you an email notice. (Email frequency is determined by the school)
How will my child’s account be established in system?
The system will pull your child’s information posted on Infinite Campus, the district’s student information system. This increased level of security will include a photo of your child. That way child nutrition workers can make sure your child matches the photo ID, as well as the biometric scan, to ensure funds are accessed from the correct family’s meal accounts.
Who should I contact if I have questions about a recent payment?
Please contact Pat Brune at 636-733-3256.
