K-12 Gifted Education Committee

Purpose:
Rockwood is moving forward with a Guiding Change process for gifted education that is designed to provide the Board of Education with information for decision-making related to the delivery of K-12 gifted education services in Rockwood in the years ahead. The K-12 Gifted Education Committee will be charged with providing input on the data, trends, research, influences and needs of the district’s gifted education program as part of this Guiding Change process. The Committee will ask questions and offer feedback to the Design Team to ensure a shared understanding among stakeholders on the perceptions and facts regarding gifted education services from kindergarten to high school. Your Involvement:

All Rockwood residents will be invited to provide input regarding the gifted education program evaluation as part of the Guiding Change process. Beginning in Sept. 2011, an Input Phase will provide opportunities for students, parents, staff and community members to provide feedback at all educational levels - elementary, middle and high school.
