Welcome to TutorConnection, a Rockwood program that helps connect certified Rockwood teachers and professionals with parents who are looking for private, fee-based tutoring lessons for their children. The focus is to improve students' knowledge and skill-based performance of the district's curricular concepts.
How do parents sign up for the program?
Parents can view a list of all tutors available district-wide on Rockwood’s Community Education Online Store. Once they have selected a tutor and location, parents can purchase a selected quantity of tutoring minutes. At that time, tutors will then be connected with parents through the system to make arrangements on the final tutoring times most convenient for their schedules.
How much does TutorConnection cost?
Rockwood, in cooperation with the teacher representatives from RNEA, has determined a fee for one-on-one tutoring at $49.50 per hour, with a two hour minimum purchase ($99 for 120 minutes). There may be small group tutoring options (maximum 3:1 ratio) available at a reduced fee in some subject areas.
