A Compact for Reading Achievement
The Compact for Reading Achievement serves to communicate a common understanding of home and school responsibilities that enables every student to meet Missouri's performance standards. It describes the school's responsibility to provide a research-based curriculum and effective instruction from qualified staff in a supportive, safe, learning environment. It describes the parent's role for supporting their children's learning and it describes the active role that the students take in achieving a quality education. With this partnership as the focus of the K-5 Reading Intervention Program, all parties agree to work together toward the goal that all students will grow as readers and writers.
