Rockwood Reading Week 2012
“Find the Treasure in Books”
February 27-March 2, 2012
All week: Each teacher in Rockwood will have the opportunity to be matched up with another Rockwood teacher to participate in live video collaboration as a part of “Read Across Rockwood”. The PIE department is facilitating this. Watch for more information soon!
Thursday, March 1, 2012 there will be a district-wide “Drop Everything and Read” from 10:00-10:15 a.m. Whether you are home, school, work, or elsewhere – pick up a book and enjoy reading with the rest of the Rockwood community.
Friday, March 2, 2012 Every year on Read Across America Day we remember Dr. Seuss by celebrating his birthday. This year, Theodor Seuss Geisel would have been 108 years old! Be sure to enjoy your favorite Dr. Seuss book on March 2!
Each school celebrates Rockwood Reading Week in their own way. Watch for information regarding additional events at your school.
* In addition to Rockwood Reading Week, we will also recognize Missouri Read-In Day on Friday, March 9, 2012 with an all-district performance by Bobby Norfolk at 7:00 Wild Horse Elementary
