St. Louis County Police and area businesses
Last year, the St. Louis County Police, in partnership with the Ballwin, Chesterfield, Ellisville, Eureka, Manchester and Wildwood police departments, conducted compliance checks of area liquor retailers. These compliance checks were sponsored by the Rockwood Drug-Free Coalition and included visits to grocery stores, gas stations, convenience stores and restaurants.
The following liquor retailers were found in compliance with laws prohibiting the sale of alcohol to minors. The Rockwood Drug Free Coalition thanks these retailers for their vigilance. Full story
In addition to verifying that retail clerks check IDs before selling alcoholic beverages to customers, our police partners also conducted "shoulder tap" checks at various retail locations. Strangers agreeing to purchase alcohol for unknown minors were cited summons.
