Fundraising

Ready, Set, GIVE! is Ellisville Elementary's primary fundraiser for the 2011 - 2012 school year in lieu of door-to-door product and coupon book sales. The decision to launch Ready, Set, GIVE! was simple. Ellisville families responded to a survey given last school year about past fundraising efforts and the overwhelming response was the desire to donate directly to the school: no buying or selling of any products.

Many of our Rockwood peer elementary schools have already adopted this type of fundraising with much success.

Donate: 100% of your donation is tax deductible.
100% of your donation benefits Ellisville Elementary.
Don’t forget to check with your employer – they may have a company
              match program.

You can donate online by clicking on the link below or by sending your donation along with your completed contribution form into the school office; Attention Megan Seeling, PTO Treasurer.

Ready, Set, Give!

Our goal is $21,000!

Where does the money go?
  Here are some examples:

  • $75,000, over the past 5 years, has gone toward making technology work to Ellisville Elementary’s benefit with Smart Boards in every classroom (including library, music, art and strings), computer tables for a 2:1 student/computer ratio in the upper level grades, webcams, speaker systems, website memberships and more.  No other Rockwood elementary school has such comprehensive technology available to their students.
  • $2000 annually covers student lunches with Dr. Loy, fostering positive relationships with the school principal.
  • $3,000 annually supplements teachers classroom supplies and many teaching materials that would be otherwise unavailable to Ellisville students.
  • $750 provides speakers for curriculum-supporting assemblies each year.
  • $9,000 funds the Ellisville Elementary school carnival and variety show each year; giving our students and families a sense of pride and community.
  • $2,600 annually supports each classroom’s Fall party (October), Friendship party (February) and school wide Field Day (May).

PTO’s 2011 – 2012 Capital Project
Above and beyond the many activities, projects and services the PTO annually supports, this year's PTO Capital Project is to renovate the school library. Bookshelves, study tables, reference desk and décor will be getting a much-needed facelift. Updates like these make the library more welcoming, strengthening a student’s love for books and supporting literacy and learning. It’s your donation that will make this project possible.

Student Incentives
Based on conversations with, and the recommendations made by, the student Character Congress leaders from all grade levels, classrooms have 2 chances to win.

Each week, the class(es) with the most campaign participation will win an extra recess with a recess kit that could contain lots of fun things for the students such as bouncing balls yo-yos, bubbles, gliders, chalk and more.

At the end of the campaign, the class(es) with the most campaign participation will win:

  • Free recess party
  • Free homework pass for one day
  • First in line at lunch
  • Dress up day of your choice
  • Movie party
  • An opportunity to silly string Dr. Loy and Ms. Hager

Every family that contributes will be recognized with a tiger tail, printed with your last name, hanging from the school lobby ceiling.  Imagine the jungle of tails that will cascade from the ceiling!
