Dear Parents:

Welcome back to another exciting year at the Center for Creative Learning! We all know how fortunate our children are to attend this very exceptional school and one way to ensure we keep the CCL unique is by raising money to support and enhance the very sophisticated, ever-changing curriculum. Your CCL-PTO strives to donate a substantial sum of money to the Center every year to provide our students access to the very best in available technology and learning resources. Our goal for the 2012-2013 school year is $26,000.

We are again conducting our major fundraiser by asking for voluntary donations from our CCL parents. In this way, we hope to reduce the number of times parents will be asked to make PTO purchases, save a great deal of volunteer effort, and yet yield excellent results for the program.

Funds donated by the PTO directly impact the children and their learning environments. Your donations support everything from maintaining the student copier and supplying refill cartridges to providing laminating equipment and even to replacing very expensive Smart Board projector bulbs. Funds donated by the PTO this past year have been used to purchase student laptops, support special guest speakers and field trip experiences, as well as to purchase microscopes and a document reader with a microscope adapter. It has also supported the purchase of supplies for students to complete and polish their end-of-semester projects. All of this was made possible by our very special parents at CCL.

As we did last year, the CCL-PTO will coordinate our Fall Focus CCLebration and Gifted Education CCLebration Book Fairs, and our Art Project as our only additional fundraisers. These efforts relate to student learning and have been a small, but valued part of the PTO’s activities for many years.

A form for making donations is provided in this packet. One hundred percent of each tax-deductible donation will go directly to supporting the Center’s programs. We simply ask that you make checks payable to the CCL-PTO and write “Donation” in the memo section. Acknowledgement letters will be sent to each donor thanking them for their gift. The letter will serve as a receipt for tax deduction purposes.
