Green Pines received the Promising Practices Award for our ‘Starfish Program: Making a Difference’ from the Character Education Partnership (CEP).
Our principal, Jane Brown, was named the 2009 Counselor Advocate of the Year for Rockwood.
Becky Spease, was named the 2008-2009, Green Pines Teacher of the Year
Talayna Marco, has achieved National Board Certification. She is the first teacher at Green Pines to achieve this honor.
The Green Pines Elementary PE/Health Program has been selected by the Missouri Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (MOAHPERD), as an Exemplary Gold School in Physical Education.
Our school has received a grant called, "Get Down and Dirty with Outdoor Science."
Green Pines is nationally recognized as a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence.
Green Pines was recognized with a National Blue Ribbon Schools Special Emphasis Award in Technology.
Green Pines is a Missouri Gold Star School.
Green Pines is proud of community service projects at each grade level that teach community responsibility and compassion.
Older students at Green Pines are paired with younger students through a Classroom Buddy Program. This program fosters mentoring of younger students by older students. Buddies read together, collaborate on projects, and enjoy lunch together on a monthly basis.
