Kehrs Mill has an amazing group of parents who have transformed our entire school entrance, the Snail Trail Circle and Marquee garden. They work tirelessly through the spring, summer and fall to design, plant, weed, mulch, and water all that has been planted.
Our entranceway is now warm, colorful and inviting! This committee chose the three sunflower sculptures for the garden which were created by local artists who repurpose found objects. The landscaping was totally re-designed for the entrance as well. A special evergreen tree was purchased by the 5th graders last spring and it also graces the front of our school.
The Green Thumb Committee is headed by Georgia Vaaler and Linzi Cavanaugh. Many other parents also work hard on the committee. The amount of work and details involved to organize, purchase, budget and maintain all of this beautification is significant!!
We thank them!!!!!
