Full day kindergarten and first through fifth grade students have music twice a week for 30 minutes at a time. Half day kindergarten students have music once a week for 30 minutes. Lessons include singing, playing instruments, music theory, music history, movement to music, singing games and performance skills. Students participate in grade level musicals in the kindergarten, second and third grades.

In addition to general music, fourth grade students take violin and fifth grade students have the option of playing violin, viola, cello or bass in the orchestra. Strings classes are taught by strings teachers who travel throughout the district. 

Fourth and fifth grade students can choose to participate in our before school choir, Special Chorus.
