Points of Pride

Kellison is named a 2011 National School of Character by the Character Education Partnership (CEP).
Kellison stake holders bring out the best in everyone – students, staff, parents and community members.
Kellison is a recipient of a 2009 National School of Character Promising Practice Award through the Character Education Partnership for the “Stripes Buddy Activities” of Respect, Responsibility, Caring, Cooperation and Honesty. We have also received the 2008 “Portrait of Character” award and 2007 “Veterans Day Celebration” award.
Kellison participates in the Caring School Community (CSC) program that focuses on strong relationships and high expectations. This is our 8th year of implementation.
Kellison is dedicated to sound technology instruction including 27 SMART Boards in classrooms including music, art and the library.
Kellison is an Accelerated Reader (AR) school supporting strong reading growth for all students.
Kellison has strong, collaborative Professional Learning Communities (PLC teams)dedicated to improving student achievement.
Kellison is the recipient of the Saint Louis Academy of Science 2008 Monsanto Science Educator Award and received the Office Max Teacher of the Year Award.
Kellison is proud of the numerous service learning projects, that include Relay For Life and Adopt-A-Family, that were completed through our Buddy program that teaches community compassion.
Kellison has outstanding parent involvement and support.
Kellison offers many extra-curricular after-school activities which are taught by Kellison teachers and parents.
