Kellison Elementary is home to a family of caring staff, parents and children who view our special “caring school community” as the absolute best school any child could hope to attend! Kellison Elementary has a wonderful reputation for being an outstanding school filled with kind and compassionate people who do whatever it takes to help their students be successful. Kellison defines good character as the way in which we treat others because that is how we want to be treated. Students share that the choices they make are because “it is the right thing to do.”
While our overall character education work encompasses all of the identified character words, traits and behaviors that are included in our district comprehensive character education program, Kellison’s school community embraces five core attributes that we live by and value each and every day. We call these five core character traits our “TIGERtudes” named this because our mascot is a tiger. Kellison’s TIGERtudes are Respect, Responsibility, Caring, Cooperation, and Honesty. Through our comprehensive approach, these five character traits encompass all of our work. From the school bus to the cafeteria, the TIGERtudes define the expected behavior and beliefs of our students.
