"Your one-stop-shop to all things Renaissance." Lafayette's Renaissance program has a long-standing tradition of promoting academic excellence.  The Renaissance Student Steering Committee consists of students dedicated to encouraging their peers to reach their academic potential.  The committee uses various elements to make sure each student reaches their academic heights.

To ensure each student reaches their goals, the committee employs various techniques such as the use of Renaissance Tuesday, Academic Credit Cards, Student of the Week, and the Academic Pep Assembly to provide motivation for the students of Lafayette.

The most essential part of a student's academic growth are teachers and staff of the school.  Not only is the committee dedicated to promoting academic excellence in the student body, but it is also dedicated to helping the teachers and staff maintain the high standards of Lafayette.  For example, the committee decides Teacher of the Month based upon student recommendations.  The committee also provides doughnuts for bus drivers once a month.
