Senior Graduation Rehearsal

There will be mandatory graduation rehearsal for all seniors on May 17, at 8:30 a.m. in the back gym of Lafayette High School.  Seniors not attending the rehearsal will not be allowed to participate in the ceremony.  At the conclusion of the rehearsal and after all fines/fees, discipline, and attendance obligations have been fulfilled, eligible seniors will be issued 10 tickets to the ceremony and will receive their cap and gown.  Students in need of additional tickets to the ceremony will have the opportunity to request them from designated individuals following the rehearsal.  Extra tickets that are available will be distributed at that time.

Senior Awards Night
We had a great 49th annual Senior Awards Night last evening in the Lafayette commons.  Thank you to all of the students, parents, and staff that attended the event.  Unfortunately, I made a mistake and overlooked one of our fine seniors in attendance for the program.   I would like to recognize Hayley Hooker.  Hayley is a member of the National Honor Society and will attend Missouri State University in the fall.  Congratulations Hayley and I apologize for the mistake I made at the awards night ceremony.

Senior trip to the Zoo on April 23
Due to the ACT testing taking place for all juniors at Lafayette High School on Tuesday, April 23, seniors will be taking a trip to the St. Louis Zoo.  All seniors should report to the commons before school on Tuesday, as we will begin boarding busses immediately upon the start of the school day.  Seniors will need to bring money to purchase a lunch at the zoo at one of the available food venues.  Seniors will retun to Lafayette on the busses in time to attend the last 3 class periods of the day with the adjusted schedule.
Senior Awards Night
Senior Awards Night will be held on Thursday, April 18, beginning at 7 p.m. in the Lafayette Commons.  Seniors attending the event are encouraged to check in at the designated tables by 6:40.  Please contact the senior office at 636-733-4112 if you have any questions.

Academic Pep Assembly
Tuesday, March 12, we will be having our spectacular Academic Pep Assembly "Late Night with Louie" in the afteroon portion of the day. Any student not in attendance for the assembly will receive an absence for 7th period.  Any student that is not planning on attending the assembly must have a parent call the senior office by 10:00 a.m.  in order to be excused from attending the event.  Per Lafayette Student Handbook policy, notes from parents are NOT accepted on pep assembly days.  In addition, the excused absence due to the parent phone call will still count towards 7th period attendance totals.  This is the one of the biggest and most enjoyable events held on campus each year, as we celebrate the outstanding academic achievements of our record setting seniors from the Class of 2013!
