Rewarding Spring Break service trip for seniors
The Lafayette contingent of seniors, parents, and staff volunteers returned to campus at 9:30 p.m. on Friday, March 25, after a rewarding experience helping with rebuilding efforts on the Gulf Coast.  The Lafayette group joined seniors and staff volunteers from Eureka, Marquette, and Summit in the New Orleans area working with Habitat for Humanity, Andrew Wilson Charter School, the Louisiana Children's Museum, and Pass Christian HS in Mississippi as part of the 5th annual spring break service trip to the Hurricane ravaged Gulf Coast.  A truly enriching experience was had by all, as the four high school volunteer groups of Rockwood joined together to make a positive difference in the greater New Orleans area.  Plans are already in the works for next year's trip, with members of the Class of 2012 preparing to take up the call to give back to others on their spring break next March.  Stay tuned for additional details from the Senior Office.
