Students today are faced with numerous challenges. To help parents understand and manage those challenges, the Rockwood School District offers a series of helpful, interactive workshops.
The Rockwood Parent Series engages top experts, parents and school staff to become proactive and informed in pursuit of the mutual goal to strengthen our communities.
The title of our next workshop is "Mental Health" and will be presented on Thursday, September 17 at 7-8pm in the LHS Theater. This workshop is recommended for parents with students K thru 12.
Following is a brief description of this workshop:
Mental Health - Join us for great learning and conversation around various mental health conditions that are impacting our children in today's world. What are some symptoms of common mental health conditions? How can one diagnose this? Knowing about this can help you be better prepared to understand what you or a loved one is going through.
Juniors have the opportunity to explore careers and shadow experts throughout the school year. Students that are interested must fill out a yellow PIE form by Tuesday, September 15th to be eligible. Applications are available in the Junior Office.
