Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) rules require a nine-day summertime “dead period” for each school to determine when there is to be no contact between coaches/sponsors and students at their high school. Furthermore, separate “dead periods” for sports and activities can be utilized if a school deems that to be appropriate for their situation.
Through meetings and discussion among our activities staff, those weeks have been determined for the summer of 2012.
June 23 – July 1, 2012 MSHSAA Dead Period for All Sports
July 21-29, 2012 MSHSAA Dead Period for Activities (defined by MSHSAA as cheerleaders, poms, academic team, speech & debate, drama, band, choir, and orchestra)
