Rockwood School District will join communities across the state to honor the dedicated service of our local school board during School Board Recognition Week, Jan. 22-28. The focus of this week is on building awareness and understanding of the important function an elected board has on communities and schools.
“The members of the Rockwood School Board play a vital role in the education of our students,” Superintendent Bruce Borchers, Ph.D. said. “We value their contributions and appreciate the countless hours of service they devote to the district and community.”
Proclaimed by Governor Jay Nixon, School Board Recognition Week is sponsored by the Missouri School Boards’ Association, MSBA. This organization is a private, nonprofit organization that exists to help boards succeed.
