The week of Feb. 6-10, Rockwood joins school districts across the country to recognize school counselors in celebration of National School Counseling Week. Sponsored by the American School Counselor Association (ASCA), this week acknowledges the integral role counselors play in our schools to help students succeed.
"Rockwood is excited to honor these well-deserving professionals for the contributions they make to help students achieve success in school, plan for a career, and assist with personal and social concerns," said Shonda Ambers-Phillips, coordinator of prevention and guidance in Rockwood.
ASCA is a worldwide nonprofit organization that supports school counselors' efforts to help students focus on academic, personal/social and career development so they not only achieve success in school but are prepared to lead fulfilling lives as responsible members of society.
