Rockwood’s four high schools have been recognized by Newsweek as the best high schools in the country. The high schools are ranked below.
- Rockwood Summit – 497
- Lafayette High School – 508
- Marquette High School – 585
- Eureka High School – 676
Newsweek determined the best 1,000 high schools based on the following six criteria:
- four-year graduation rate (25 percent)
- college-acceptance rate (25 percent)
- number of Advanced Placement (AP) and other high-level exams given per student (25 percent)
- average SAT/ACT scores (10 percent)
- AP/college-level test scores (10 percent)
- number of AP courses offered per student (5 percent)
