Rockwood Celebrates Veterans

At schools across the Rockwood School District, students and staff honored America’s service men and women in celebration of Veterans’ Day. From classroom lessons to ceremonies, musical performances and more, students found ways to thank veterans for their service. View photos from Veterans’ Day celebrations below.

Veterans' Day activities will continue with Rockwood's Adult Community Choir performance on Sunday, Nov. 11 and additional ceremonies at schools on Monday, Nov. 12.

Thank you for the wonderful hospitality of the Fairway Family. I was honored to attend with my daughters who are students at this fine school. I was particularly impressed with the table set for our MIA Brothers and Sisters. A similar table is set at every Armed Forces Dining Facility throughout the world. What an important lesson for our children to learn. Well done.

We attended the Fairway event and were so impressed. We did not expect a full breakfast and it was delicious. Honoring the Veterans on the stage was impressive and the speaker was excellent, speaking both to the Veterans and the students and everyone in between. The students were so well behaved throughout the event. Thank you. Our granddaughter is in 4th grade so we hope to be able to come again next year.
