Rockwood launched a new performance management tool to ensure the district is focused on strategic priorities.

The scorecard is used to do the following:
 • Align activities to the district’s vision and strategies
 • Improve internal and external communication
 • Monitor district performance and progress

Why a Vision Scorecard?
In Rockwood, we strive to be open and transparent with our parents, students and community. We believe our schools and students benefit from the interest and involvement of our community. The Vision Scorecard provides our community with helpful information about Rockwood’s efforts to continuously improve student achievement and overall district performance.

What is on the Rockwood Vision Scorecard?
The Vision Scorecard provides an at-a-glance view of the district’s progress toward achieving specific goals that support our mission and Strategic Plan. It includes four Strategic Focus Areas (as shown on the right column). Each area has key objectives with specific measures that identify the district’s current level of performance and our targets for 2012-2013.

The Vision Scorecard is a work in progress. Take a moment to review the information, and then complete a short survey by Feb. 3 to let us know what you think about this performance management tool.

It is important to realize that the Vision Scorecard will change as a result of stakeholder feedback and as new information becomes available.  In addition, scorecards are being developed at the school and department levels during the 2011-2012 school year.  The scorecards will include district-level measures, along with other performance indicators that enable us to focus resources and improvement efforts on strategic priorities.
