Stay active and involved this summer with all that Rockwood has to offer when school is out!  Summer is a great time for students to immerse themselves in reading, sports, activities, summer camps and even academics.  Use the list below to keep boredom at bay during the long summer months.

Read a good book!
Summer is the perfect time to read books for pleasure and personal interest. Set aside at least 15 minutes a day for reading.  View the recommended reading list for grades K-5.

Rockwood Community Education and Babler State Park have collaborated to provide children with a unique outdoor summer day camp experience! Located at Babler State Park, BablerWiLD Day Camp is designed to encourage campers to jump in and learn about nature firsthand through daily exploration and discovery.

 

   

Rockwood Community Education provides summer enrichment programs of all kinds.  Register for summer programs including Preview for Success, a program for students entering kindergarten through 5th grade, and Welcome to Middle School for students entering 6th grade.

  This summer, Spotlight Productions presents:
The Wizard of Oz 

Little Dorothy, like so many girls her age, dreams of what lies over the rainbow. One day a twister hits her farm and carries her away over the rainbow to another world. Come join Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion and Toto as they travel the universe of Dorothy's imagination. 

Performance Dates:
July 15, 16, 22 & 23 @ 7:30 p.m.
July 16, 17, 23 & 24 @ 2:00 p.m.

Location: Marquette High School Theater

 
 

Summer in Adventure Club
SummerLink (K-5th grade)
Adventure Club Summer camps offer your child a summer experience filled with activities and field trips. Choices include: 14 + Field Trips, swimming, sports, music, arts & crafts, bowling, skating, photos/videos, tie-dying, presentations, speakers, water days, gym activities, and plays. 
 

The Zone Summer Camp (5th 8th graders)
Middle School students have an opportunity to participate in a camp where they design the activity schedule and choose their own field trips. The program offers tons of field trips and activities such as: cosmic bowling, team-building activities, mall shopping, BBQs, swimming, sports, sewing, arts and crafts, speakers, and much more.
