Fundraising Opportunities

Through our fundraising efforts, the Ridge Meadows Elementary PTO supports academic enrichment programs and capital improvements that impact every subject and every grade level in the school.  In addition, we host many special activities to promote school spirit and a sense of community among Ridge Meadows’ families.  For a detailed list, see the PTO budget file in the downloads section on the right side of this page.

There are many different ways that we raise funds to support these programs and participation is voluntary.

Support our Product Sales

Entertainment Books– Sales begin on Meet the Teacher Night and continue until Wednesday, August 31st.  Back by popular demand, Entertainment Books contain coupons from local stores, entertainment venues and national chains that will save you hundreds of dollars.

Innisbrook-Sales begin on August 26th and end September 6th.

Scholastic Book Fairs– A win/win for parents, children and Ridge Meadows, these two fairs are a great way to encourage your children to read while at the same time supporting our school.  Scholastic offers wonderful books at great prices for every level of reading!  Book Fairs will take place during Parent/Teacher conferences in October and March.

Spirit Wear-  Show your school spirit by sporting Ridge Meadows Spirit Wear!  We have great new designs and all sorts of styles, including short and long sleeve t-shirts and hoodies!  Print an order form if you’d like to place an order and send it in to school.  Please see forms under Forms Download Section.  Orders need to be turned in by Friday, September 2nd.

Put the FUN back in FUNdraising – Have a great time at these special events while raising money for the school.

Trivia Night & Silent Auction – An adult evening of fun scheduled for February 11, 2012.

Spring Fling – A great way to celebrate the end of the school year (May 18, 2012) and the beginning of summer vacation with your entire family in May at Ridge Meadows.

Clip, Clean or Recycle!
Our school earns thousands of dollars with just a little bit of effort on your part and no cash outlay.

  • Recycling:  Bring your aluminum cans and your newspapers and magazines to the recycling bins in the front of the school and we receive a check each month.
  • Yellow House:  Cleaning out your closets?  Bring your clothes, shoes and linens to the little yellow house at the front of school.  They are given to families in need and we receive cash!
  • General Mills Box Tops & Campbell Soup Labels:  Those little General Mills labels add up to big bucks when everyone collects them.  We will host several contests throughout the year, so start clipping!  For a complete list of eligible products, see General Mills website.  Campbell’s awards points redeemable in their catalog for their labels and bottle tops.

Go Shopping!
Do you shop at Target or Schnucks?  If so, you could earn money for our schools.  If you use a Target credit card, Target will donate a percentage of your purchase amount to our school.  Grocery shopping at Schnucks?  Swipe the new e-Scrip card (available at school) and a percentage of your purchase gets donated to Ridge Meadows.  With the e-Scrip program you can pay anyway you like and profits can be split among several different organizations that you choose. It’s great for parents who have children in different schools.  Scrip Card information

Donations:  Every family will receive information about all of our fundraisers over the course of the year, but participation is always voluntary.  Last year many families requested the opportunity to make a donation in lieu of participating in fundraisers.  Donations may be tax deductible and many companies offer a “matching gift program” to their employees who make donations.  If you would like to make a cash donation, please send it to school in an envelope marked "Donation" with this donation form.

Thanks for supporting Ridge Meadows in any way you can!
