December 12th-16th

We will wrap up our Embedded Assessment.  The final product can be seen on www.schooltube.com.   Type in our school in the search box and begin searching for your child's video.

January January 30th-February 3rd

Students will be working in literature circles this week.  We will also continue to study expository writing.

February 6th-10th

 We will continue doing group literature.  We will also review for the District Common Assessment and grammar.  Students will take the DCA towards the end of the week.

February 13th-17th

This week we will continue literature circles.   We will also review grammar and take a District Common Assessment.

February 21st-24th

We will continue with our literature circles.   We plan to be finished with our books by Friday and  start reading Holes next week.   This week we will also continue studying grammar.

February 27th-March 2nd

Literature circles will be totally completed by Tuesday.  We will then begin Unit 3 in our Springboard books.  In unit 3 students will learn to write letters in the voice of different characters.  We will also read the novel Holes in unit 3.

March 5th-9th

We will do character analysis and we will also begin reading the novel HOLES.   Students will also learn about adverb clauses...

March 26th-30th

We will continue reading Holes.  This week we will practice writing a letter from another character's perspective.   Students will also review the adverb clause.

April 2nd-April 5th

Students will continue to read and do activities with the novel HOLES.  We will also begin our Embedded Assessment on Wednesday or Thursday.  This will not be due until next week.

April 30th-May 4th

Students will work on completing Embedded Assessment 2 for unit 3.  We will then begin Unit 5 and will also have a vocabulary quiz over the prefix BI.

May 7th -May 11th

This week we will have our quiz over the prefix BI.   We will also begin our new prefix TRI.   Students will begin working on Unit 5.
