Academic Success

As the 1st quarter comes to a close, please keep up-to-date on your academics. Also, be sure to access the various supports in place here at Summit such as Academic Lab, World Language Lab, Writer's Block, and before and after school tutoring, to name just a few. Make sure to contact teachers regarding your progress as they will also have individualized resources available. And, as always, never hesitate to contact my office.

Homecoming

A reminder that tickets will not be sold at the door for the dance on Saturday night. All tickets must be purchased in advance. Also, it is a semi-formal dance beginning at 7 pm and ending at 10 pm at the high school.

Come out for the many activities taking place this week including the powder puff game that has been moved to 4 pm on Friday before the homecoming football game.

TGIF August 26th; Free Ice Cream

School clubs and organizations will be having an ice cream social immediately after school on Friday, August 26th. Each group will be providing a topping for the ice cream. Stop by to check out the organizations and get some ice cream.

Falcon Freshman Friday

Thank you to all of the students that gave some of the dwindling time remaining in the summer break to come up to Summit. Hopefully, the time was beneficial. I certainly enjoyed the time and meeting as many of you as possible. A big thank you also to the parents and families that made it possible by getting your student here.

Orientation

Thank you to all that took the time to come to orienation.

The theater being filled was a testament to the class of 2015. I’m looking forward to the school year and working with each of you. Remember Falcon Freshman Friday is August 12^th at 12:45 in the theater and fall sports begin on Monday the 8^th.

Locks to be Provided for Freshman Class

Summit will be providing a lock for all freshmen this year. Therefore, students will not have to provide a lock for their school locker. All information regarding the lock (combination, etc.) will be available at orientation when a locker is selected at orientation or at the freshman office.
