Tom McKenna is in his ninth year as an assistant principal at RVMS. After teaching for a year in his home state of Indiana, he began his career in Rockwood 18 years ago as a sixth grade teacher at Stanton Elementary. After two years at Stanton, he moved to Selvidge Middle school where he taught sixth grade for six years. Mr. McKenna came to RVMS in 1999 as an administrative intern, and became an assistant principal in 2001.
Mr. McKenna has a Bachelors Degree in Business from Indiana University, a Masters Degree in Education from Purdue University, a Masters Degree in Educational Administration from Lindenwood University, and an Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Administration degree from Lindenwood University. He and his wife have two daughters that currently attend college. He enjoys spending time and traveling with his family, reading, and playing golf.
