Nomination Criteria

All recipients of the Hall of Fame award are selected based on their achievements and contributions to their profession and their community. A selection committee approved by the Rockwood Schools Foundation board of directors reviews all nominations and selects the inductees. No limit is placed on the number of awards to be given. The Rockwood Schools Foundation plans to solicit nominations for future Hall of Fame classes every two years.

Criteria Requirements
Each nominee considered for the Hall of Fame Award must have graduated from Rockwood a minimum of 10 years prior to nomination and meet one or more of the following criteria:

Distinction in service to a recognized profession (ex: law, medicine, education, etc.)
Exceptional success in trade, business or industry
High achievement in a recognized field of cultural endeavor (ex: arts, music, theater, etc.)
Outstanding performance in athletics
Considerable contributions to the community
Posthumous nominations will be considered

Guidelines

A Rockwood Alumni Hall of Fame nomination form must be filled out completely. Graduates are encouraged to self-nominate.
Current contact information of the nominee or closest living relative/friend must be provided by the nominator.
Nominations will not be made public and will become property of the Rockwood Schools Foundation Alumni Association. Nominations and any other materials submitted will not be returned or reprinted for any purposes.
All honorees will be recognized at a ceremony and a permanent tribute will be displayed at the recipient’s alma mater and a district office.
Members of the Board of Education, Rockwood Schools Foundation and Hall of Fame Selection Committee are not eligible.
