In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the first Rockwood School District graduating class, the district recognized 13 outstanding alumni for their achievements at the inaugural Alumni Hall of Fame Gala on Jan. 28.
Held at the Magic House, nearly 200 guests enjoyed dinner, an awards presentation and musical entertainment.
Rockwood Superintendent Bruce Borchers, PH.D., described the event as a community-wide celebration. “The Alumni Gala was a great way to celebrate Rockwood’s history as well as the accomplishments of our inaugural Hall of Fame inductee class.” Borchers said. “More than 40,000 students have graduated from the Rockwood School District since 1912, and these inductees are an example of how far hard work and a Rockwood education can take you.”
