Lafayette High alumni David Freese and Ryan Howard are squaring off as the Cardinals take on the Phillies in the MLB National League Division Series. 

Steve Miller, retired athletic director and assistant baseball coach, described Freese and Howard as great athletes and individuals.  “I’m proud of their athletic accomplishments and the contributions they have made to Lafayette High and the community,” said Miller.  “It’s exciting for Rockwood to have two graduates compete for a chance at the 2011 World Series.”
