Fourth Grade Homework Guidelines
Fourth grade is a pivotal year for all children. In order for your child to be successful, he/she must take responsibility for his/her own actions and learning.
- The student should finish any work at home that is not completed in school.
- The student should practice math facts, concentrating on multiplication.
- The student should practice weekly spelling words.
- The student should read to complete monthly independent reading requirements.
- The student should complete long range projects started in class.
Communication
Communication between home and school will come in many forms, including:
- the Viking Voice,
- the daily assignment book
- the classroom newsletter
- notes and phone calls when necessary.
Each student will be given a Viking folder. These folders will come home once a week filled with your student's graded work, the newsletter and any fliers from the office or PTO. Please look over your student's accomplishments, sign all tests, and keep all other papers before returning the folder to school.
