Welcome to third grade!  We are so excited to have you in our classrooms.  Third grade is a year filled with learning, adventures, and new discoveries!  In reading, we make the transition from “learning to read” to “reading to learn”.  We use the writing process to become better authors.  In math this year, we will become experts at multiplication and division.  Using science process skills, students will investigate sound, matter, ecosystems, solar system, and magnets.  We will travel through time to learn about our country’s history.  These are just a few of the things that make third grade an exciting year!
