Character EducationHave you checked out our Character Education Bulletin Boards on the website? We have gotten e-mails from other educators throughout the United States wanting to know more about this wonderful home/school project that promotes good character.

Although we are addressing these character traits at school, we realize that parents play the major role in their child's moral development. Therefore, we hope to create a home-school partnership that reinforces the importance of each of the character traits.
Monthly Home ActivitiesThe students receive a short Word of the Month activity to complete at home with parents. An example may be to write a few sentences or draw a picture of an incident in which you were being "honest". This activity will be part of a monthly bulletin board display that will focus on the trait of the month.
Classroom Flag Program"Ed Word," our Character Education mascot, is proudly displayed on each classroom flag. Our flags provide a visual reminder and incentive to students to display their best character in our school and community.
