Woerther scored in the Top 10 in MAP scores for Communication Arts in 2007.
Woerther scored in the Top 10 in MAP scores for Communication Arts, Math, and Science in 2008.
Woerther students check out more than 44,000 library books per year.
Woerther has an outstanding literacy partnership between parents, teachers and students.
The Woerther staff has a strong commitment to ensure the overall well being of its students. Education and safety are our highest priority.
Woerther has extracurricular activities sponsored by parents and faculty.
Woerther has coordination among all faculty to support curriculum across grade levels and subject areas.
Woerther students read and passed tests on over 55,798 Accelerated Reader books last year.
Woerther has a new, updated cafeteria with spacious kitchen.
Woerther has updated bathrooms in the 1st grade hallway and 3rd grade hallway.
Woerther parents have labeled thousands of library and classroom literature books with Lexile Reading levels so students can easily locate books at their reading level.
The Woerther library is updated with additional space, computers, and a Smartboard and has met the highest level in all state standards for libraries.
All classrooms are equipped with SmartBoards.
Professional development of staff is ongoing, planned and evaluated. All staff participates in these days where goal setting, common assessment and collaboration on the research based practices takes place. This assists in working toward our school improvement goals.
Woerther Elementary is committed to many service projects throughout the year. Examples are: Cents Makes Sense - the Ballwin Police Department, Pennies for Patients – the Leukemia Society, Character Congress’ Annual Food Drive - the Circle of Concern, Adopt-A-Family, etc.
An average of 40 Woerther students per month earn a Character sticker for Random Acts of Kindness.
