Lisa Allen-President
Hello! My name is Lisa Allen and I am your PTO President for the upcoming school year. I have been at Woerther going on 8 years and have actively served on the PTO Board 6 of those 8 years. This will be my second year as President and I am looking forward to another great year getting to know all of you more. I have been the Chairperson for our spring carnival for the past 5 years along with many other great events. I am a stay at home mom of 3 great boys, 2 dogs, and my husband, Patrick. Riley is a Freshman at Marquette, Connor is a 7th grader at Selvidge and Caden is a 3rd grader at Woerther. I feel truly blessed to be where I am in life with such amazing family and friends and to be involved with such an outstanding community such as the Woerther community. I am looking forward to being your PTO President during the 2011-2012 school year.
Rebecca Bullington-1st Vice President
I am Rebecca Bullington. I am married to Ross and we have three children, Hannah, Rachel and Christian. I have been involved at Woerther since my twin girls were in Kindergarten. They will be starting 8th grade at Selvidge Middle and my son will be in 5th grade this year. I started by helping with academic celebrations, room parent, accelerated reading, staff buffet, science night, movie night, trunk or treat, buzz book, book fair and then I served as secretary for two years on the board. I am currently the First Vice President. I want to make a contribution to the Woerther community. I enjoy collaborating with others to integrate ideas and share strategies to promote Woerther's learning environment.
Susan Harris-2nd Vice President
My name is Susan Harris. This is my second year on the PTO Board. I am a stay at home mom who works part-time as a consulting engineer. I lead a Moms In Touch Group (MIT), teach a second grade Sunday School class at First Baptist Church of Ellisville, and co-lead a Brownie Troop for Girl Scouts. I am currently involved with helping form a Rockwood Parents Advisory Committee for Special School District and would be happy to help families form a better understanding of Special School District. I am very grateful for the Woerther Staff and their unwavering dedication to our students and their families. I am excited to help coordinate events for the students, families, and the staff at Woerther.
I have three children. My oldest child is now attending Selvidge. My other two children are in 4th grade and 2nd grade at Woerther.
I believe it is a privilege and duty to serve others in my community and I am very excited to help the Woerther Staff and families have a very successful and fruitful year. If I can be of help to you and your family or if you have some ideas that could help PTO please feel free to contact me.
Angie Colona-3rd Vice President
My name is Angie Colona. I have been actively involved in Woerther activities for 5 years and I am excited to be a part of the PTO board for the first time this year!
My husband, John, and I have two daughters, Lauryn (5th grade) and Lindsey (3rd grade). My four legged family members include 2 black labs (Sammi and Mac) and a hamster (Pierre). I work full time as an Information Technology Manager at Enterprise Rent A Car. When I’m not at work, volunteering at school or driving to Girl Scouts, Gymnastics or Dance, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and trying to get in some scrapbooking time! Trish Gruender-VP of Fundraising
My name is Trish Gruender and I am married to john Gruender. We have 3 children, Jared is in 7th grade at Selvidge, Kylie is in 5th grade and Kailyn will start kindergarten in 2012. I sell real estate for Coldwell Banker Gundaker. When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my family. I have been a room parent for the past 7 years and I am looking forward to my 1st year as VP of Fundraising for Woerther.
Sharon Hartung-Treasurer
We moved into the Woerther area in 2004, when my oldest daughter (Carson) was beginning 2nd Grade. She is now 14 (entering 9th grade). I have twins (Callie & Charlie) who are 11, starting Selvidge and will be in 6th grade. My youngest daughter (Chandler) is 6 and will be in 2nd grade in the fall.
Kris Schriever-Secretary
My name is Kris Schriever and I will be the PTO Secretary this year. This is my 8th year at Woerther and second year on the PTO board. I have two girls, Kaylee, a 7th grader at Selvidge and Abby, a 4th grader at Woerther. I work full time as a project accountant at Maritz Travel Company, but I always find time to volunteer at school. I have also been very active with the Girl Scouts over the years. It is very important to me to be involved in my children’s school, as it is proven that parent involvement improves student achievement.
